About This Project
WES - WomenEmpSport is a project developed under the Erasmus+ programme.
The main objective of the project is the social inclusion and empowerment of women in vulnerable situations through the promotion of personal and sporting skills. All the activities of the project are focused on this objective, addressing different aspects and two of the main actors involved in the sector: both the professionals working for the inclusion of these women and the women at risk of exclusion themselves.
Our Partners
Amigos de Europa is an experienced organisation from Andalusia that aims to support the development of young people and people from rural areas or disadvantaged backgrounds. Amigos de Europa works as a large umbrella organisation or informal network that includes more than 30 municipalities, sports clubs, NGOs with different backgrounds and schools. We have come a long way since the beginning and we continue to grow thanks to the trust and support of our international and Spanish partners involved in our projects.
Our mission is to work towards the protection and empowerment of women and girls in all spheres of public and private life so that they realize their full potential in a just and unbiased society. The issues we devote our efforts to are combating the historical gender inequalities which assign women and girls a subordinate role in society and the family, making their contribution and participation unrecognized and undervalued.
